I have been overwhelmed lately-my excuse for not blogging. My mother passed away June 26 and I have been literally reeling with things to get done. Things have slowed down a bit so.....on to the bathroom!

Well, again it's been awhile since my last post. My mom got out of the hospital on Monday and on Saturday was back. It's been a roller coaster ride that unfortunately continues on and on. I thought I would post pics from our kitchen redo....

                                                 I peeled off at least 15 layers of old wallpaper...some so old that it had turned brown(it was the paper kind). This is the plaster wall with lots of holes to repair...

ok, so I see it's been a few months since I last posted and didn't load the kitchen pics. My kitchen is now almost complete(except the backsplash) so I will wait and post finished product. My mom has been in the hospital and is still in the hospital for the last 6 weeks-which explains my absence. Please keep her in your prayers as she has a long road yet to travel.

Long time, no see all! It's been awhile since I've blogged! I've been busy with various things but the most pressing right now is my mom. She is in the hospital and I've been dividing my time between there, work and home.....needless to say I'm a little frazzled! Good news though she is getting better and hopefully will be dismissed real soon!
It's pressing on towards Easter and I've not got ANY pics posted....believe me it's on my to do list! Should be within the next few days....stick with me please!

Whew!!! Crazy weather here in the Midwest lately! Last week:sleet and now SNOW! Oh, well another snow day. We went out to build an actual snowman NOT a sleetman. LOL! The boys had a great time and it wasn't too cold either. The snow is melting rather fast so I don't know exactly how long "Bob" (the snowman) will stick around.
Well, I have to tell you all that I absolutley love my kitchen counter tops. My sister is already biting at the bit to come and take a gander in person. I'm hoping to convice her to try it out...or maybe I should do them for her :)
Next project is going to be bead board on the ceiling and my new light fixtures up....gotta get my husband in gear or learn to run a power saw....hmmmm....might be a good idea! Then I'm going to paint the kitchen and move on to the next room. I LOVE doing this kind of thing. Anyway, I'll keep ya posted!

Wow! Have I been busy or what??? I can't believe it's already February! The weather here has been absolutely CCCCRRRAAAZZZYYY! It was in the 70's just a couple of days ago and now it's barely reaching the 30's :(  So many people have been sick with various crud --it's enough to make one stay in and hibernate!  HEY...that being said it's not such a bad idea...picture this: a warm fire, a good book, a soft blanket...yeah, definitely leaning towards hibernation!
Well, I am sooo excited because today I orderd some countertop paint from Giani Granite. I've been wanting to try this out as it looks fantastic in the pics. I will have to do some before and after pics! Slowly, remodeling the kitchen...just need to get my husband onboard to do his part! and yet, I'm totally up for learning how to use a power saw...just saying!

Getting ready to start another new chapter in my life....going down the weight loss road (again) but not turning back this time! A friend of mine had started a support group and I'm going for the first time this morning. I realize that this is not an easy road to be on (obviously) but I'm determined to  make some changes in my life to support my journey. Wish me luck :)

Well, it's been quite busy around the Glover home! We had a baby shower for my niece, who unexpectantly had baby Peyton two days before the scheduled shower! So, we had the shower without the guest of honor! Then went to the hospital to check on Mom and baby. Both are settled in at home now :)

Then picked out a background color from book of scrapbook paper

Spray painted letter P

Hot glued letter to glass on frame

Voila!!!!

Well, finally got my baby Peyton project done! I got the idea off from Pinerest (of course)! I think it turned out real cute and my niece can change out the background to match whatever decor color she decides she likes. How is everyone's New Year going? Any resolutions this year? I have quite a few personal "changes" I want to achieve this year...hopefully I haven't taken on More Than Bargained For hehehe :)

Okay....so I cleaned up my desk area the best I can. I don't have an "office" just a space in my living room to keep my work stuff. I don't have a lot of fancy smancy office stuff either. Sooooo....I just went with what I've got. The result satifies me and that's a lot!
